Wedding vows amidst luxury in nature

Marriages are made in heaven, the rituals are completed on Earth

Yes, and what more a beautiful place than one amidst nature, with the grand majestic mountains surrounding you and the starry night sky covering your dreams and manifesting your new love and binding them with the rituals adorned in luxury ! Heaven isn’t it ?

Wedding season seems far away or rather the wedding date is too far away for the couple getting married… but their excitement seems to only get the better of them when they have to find their dream wedding location !!

And Viola ! Here we come to the rescue … so we headed down with our lovely couple (all set to be married in November 2018) from Jaipur, Rajasthan (for those of you who haven’t been to India yet, it is a state known for its rich and princely cultural heritage) to the most heard about wedding destination in recent times and a hidden gem in the foothills of the grand Aravali mountains: the Rajasthali Resorts & Spa.

Located in Kukas, North of Jaipur, as we entered through the majestic gates of Rajasthali Resorts & Spa, we were welcomed by the green landscaped gardens spread across the expanse of the property.

Entrance Driveway to the main building

Entering the main palatial structure, Rajasthali’s beauty enveloped us into its tranquility and gave us the feel of a peaceful solace as we settled in after the warm and traditional Rajasthani welcome – Ram Ram Sa !

Rajasthali Resorts, as we found in our conversation with the Agarwal Family, is inspired by the grandeur and classic Rajput Royalty, where the family is aiming to give the leisure seeking traveler a taste of culture blended in natural surroundings.

From those of you who know me and my craze of nature and greenery would understand how I felt seeing nature’s beauty enveloping the resort which provided a perfect mix of Rajasthani hospitality with international service.

Entrance to the palatial building

As we toured the property, we totally fell in love with the exquisitely crafted luxury rooms in the main building and what took our breathe away were the luxury tents allowing you to experience the century old methods of the Royalty traveling across the vast desert and using tents for resting !

Rajasthali gives you a choice to spoil yourself whether you are an indoor or an outdoor person, it doesn’t matter , they have just the right room for you !

Now here was a little tussle between the to-be-bride and groom … one wanted to have their honeymoon suite indoor and the other outdoor … you can take a wild guess you wanted to stay outdoor !! LOL … I did not hear how that decision ended …left the love birds to sort it out !!

The luxurious rooms had beautiful long windows giving a feel of openess to the setting and decor ! Embedding the touch of gold finish to the furniture and decor gave it a rich and royal feel … I loved the way the room’s height was more than normal … reminded me of the typical arabian desert mansions with high ceilings … keeps the temperature cool !

My personal preference was the outdoor tents as I felt it gives you the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful mornings and the glittering starry sky just above ! How beautifully romantic is that ! I would have actually spent the night on the lounge chair by the pool as well and slept watching the stars above !

Luxury Tents with all the amenities

Coming from the event industry I have done the rounds with couples and families to see different venues in UAE and India, but trust me I loved the concept of the luxury tents … for a moment I got a glimpse of the movie Padmavat run like a flash through my mind !

Truly we found Rajasthali a very inviting and a beautifully perfect setting in between the mountains for weddings and special celebrations. Due to the stretch of area the property covers it has the capacity to accommodate large gatherings and also allowing the family to enjoy Royal luxury and hertiage. The grounds are huge enough for a lovely mandap …covered in a cozy tent or just under the open sky … and even having your sangeet there is an amazing idea … the band baaja baaraat style !!

And our dear couple were worried about one major reason of discussion among wedding guests (specially an Indian wedding) – THE FOOD ! We rested assured after tasting their amazingly rich Rajasthani cuisine that their guests are going to love the venue and the menu !!! Well for me … I think I was waiting for the crane to come lift me… LOL , I am just kidding ! I love food in Jaipur … OMG the hospitality of people there is par excellence … be ready to loosen your belts and keep that extra lining in your dresses or cholis … to breathe easy after the food !!

Dining Area

After the amazing lunch we toured the most relaxing part of the property – The Pavitra Wellness Spa !

I guess the best part of having the wedding here will be enjoying the spa and the pool the next day after the end of all the wedding ceremonies … relax and restore your tranquility with their Pavitra Wellness Spa ! We were all joking,  looks like the guests will not leave even after the wedding is over !! LOL !! To be seen …..

If you planning to take your wedding vows this year or wanting to celebrate your Union ? Or your years of togetherness … we totally recommend Rajasthali Resorts & Spa in Jaipur , Rajasthan.

Here’s a few shots of the pool and the tents at sunset !! I don’t know about you, but I booked myself for the summer holidays already … from the heat of Dubai to the cool rainy unpredictable weather of Jaipur …oh I love their untimely showers !! A blessing for us desert kids !!

Pool Side

Luxury Tents at Sunset

As we are gearing for our next wedding experience … a few images of the last wedding we had at Rajasthali Resorts & Spa …. check them below.

Oh and this trip doesn’t end here …. you have to know about the Miss World Pageant Contestants at the Rajasthali Resorts & Spa … got your attention …. that’s coming soon … oh you will love Manushi Chhillar , Miss India World 2017 ! Stay hooked to this space people !

  • In association with Rajasthan Tourism, the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival will feature two Heritage Evenings at iconic heritage locations in the city – Amber Fort and Hawa Mahal
  • Details of the Heritage Evenings
    • Under the Stars @ Hawa Mahal – The Troth-Usne Kaha Tha, a multimedia dance theatre performance, presented by Akademi. Friday, 26th January, 7:30 pm
    • A Majestic Evening @ Amber Fort – Sarangi maestro Ustad Kamal Sabri followed by Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi – A Tribute to Jagjit Singh by Shekhar Ravjiani. Sunday, 28th January, 7:30 pm

Music, theatre and cultural performances will captivate audiences at the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival 2018 during two glorious Heritage Evenings. In association with Rajasthan Tourism, the Festival will host these grand events at Jaipur’s iconic Amber Fort and Hawa Mahal. Being held on the evenings of January 26th and 28th, these events will showcase spellbinding performances against the exquisite backdrop of monuments that celebrate the city’s rich cultural heritage.

Under the Stars at Hawa Mahal features The Troth-Usne Kaha Tha, a multimedia dance and theatre production presented by Akademi, the UK’s leading producer of Indian dance, marking the centenary of World War I. It tells a story of love, loss and sacrifice against the horror and conflict of World War I. Inspired by film noir and the era of black and white films, The Troth will recount the story with use of film and subtitles and unfold the poignant narrative through interplay between image, music and dance. Award-winning choreographer Gary Clarke (winner of a UK Theatre Award 2016 for Achievement in Dance) leads the creative team. Through an intense experience, akin to silent films, audiences travel from the repose of rural Punjab in late 1800s to the strife-torn bloodied Belgian trenches. Part of the Reimagine India programme (Arts Council England/British Council) and the UK-India Year of Culture, The Troth features some of the UK’s most exciting and versatile young dancers.

On January 28th, audiences can look forward to A Majestic Evening at Amber Fort, which will begin with a sarangi recital by Ustad Kamal Sabri. Ustad Sabri Khan is the son of sarangi legend Ustad Sabri Khan and is carrying forward the rich legacy of the Sania gharana of Moradabad with single-minded dedication. Kamal, who is from the seventh generation of a distinguished family of traditional musicians, has demonstrated profound versatility in playing the sarangi.

This will be followed by Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi… a tribute to the late ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh by singer, songwriter and composer Shekhar Ravjiani. The show first premiered at the Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore to a standing ovation and brought back to life some of Singh’s legendary ghazals including, ‘Hothon se Choo Lo Tum’, ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’, ‘Tumko Dekha’, ‘Jhuki Jhuki Si Nazar’, ‘Tum Itna Jo’ and ‘Yeh Daulat Bhi Le Lo’. It has since gone to Jakarta, Indonesia and after running its U.S. tour in August 2017, it will now enthrall audiences at the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival 2018.

Sanjoy Roy, Managing Director of Teamwork Arts, Producer of the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival said, “The ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival’s Heritage Evenings celebrate the built heritage of the state of Rajasthan and highlight its rich cultural and architectural legacy through performing arts showcases. With support from Rajasthan Tourism, we will present some of the best music and theatre performances against the backdrop of over 1000 years of Indian architecture and heritage. These events are exclusively curated to bring our audience closer to Rajasthan’s spellbinding spirit and landscape.”

Entry to the Heritage Evenings are by invitation only. Guests can collect invitations from the Information Desk at the ZEE Jaipur Literature Festival on the days the events are held.
